PEDESTRIAN GUIDANCE SYSTEM, COMPUTER PROGRAM AND PEDESTRIAN GUIDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian guidance system, a computer program and a pedestrian guiding method which enable effective guidance of a pedestrian along a route to a destination point. SOLUTION: A route specifying part 179 calculates a walking distance L1 in the case when the pedestrian walks entirely along a route from his or her current location to the destination point and also calculates a walking distance L2 on a route for arriving at the destination point by utilizing a means of transportation. The route specifying part 179 selects the route utilizing the means of transportation when the calculated distance L1 is longer than L2 by a prescribed threshold or above. The route specifying part 179 determines whether or not there is a prescribed through-point on the selected route, and when there is the through-point, specifies this point. A pedestrian guiding part 20 guides the pedestrian to the through-point on the route specified by the route specifying part 179. Besides, the pedestrian guiding part 20 guides the pedestrian to the destination point when the pedestrian arrives at the last through-point. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
