PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable intake control device can prevent moisture collected in an intake air passage from freezing and block the intake air passage. SOLUTION: The variable intake control device 6 is provided with an intake pipe 61, a variable intake valve 62, and an actuator 64. The intake pipe 61 includes a first intake air passage 61c making intake air pass therethrough, and a second intake air passage 61d shorter than the first intake air passage 61c. The actuator 64 controls open and close of the variable intake valve 62 to change over the first intake air passage 61c and the second intake air passage 61d. When one hour elapses under a condition where exhaust gas is recirculated into the intake pipe 61 by an EGR device and a short passage condition where the first intake air passage 61c is closed and the second intake air passage 61d is opened, open and close of the variable intake valve 62 is controlled to keep a long passage condition where the first intake air passage 61c is opened and the second intake air passage 61d is closed for one second.
