PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jack capable of reliably carrying out ESD countermeasures without precluding its multipolarity and miniaturization. SOLUTION: The jack includes an insulating jack body 1 having a plastic sleeve 3 protruded from a front wall 2 of the jack body 1 along a plug inserting/extracting direction, a conductive cap 4 for covering the plastic sleeve 3, and an earth terminal 5 through which the cap 4 is electrically connected to a substrate.
