<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the bobbin thread control device of a sewing machine in which it is possible to easily and correctly adjust the tension of bobbin thread without making the sewing machine large-sized and without taking out a shuttle bobbin case from a rotating hook bobbin case holder in case the tension of the bobbin thread is adjusted. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The bobbin thread control device of the sewing machine includes: a bobbin thread tension control unit 11 equipped with a case type actuator 13 which presses a shuttle bobbin 2, a control circuit 23 which performs control of adjusting pressing pressure to the shuttle bobbin 2 by moving the case type actuator 13 to the shuttle bobbin 2, an external interface circuit 36 which receives a communication signal from the outside, and an external receiving circuit 33 exposed to the outsides of the rotating hook bobbin case holder 5 and a rotating hook 6; and a probe 38 which is arranged in the exterior of the rotating hook 6, moves between a contact location which contacts the external receiving circuit 33 and the external interface circuit 36 at the time of the un-rotating of the rotating hook 6 and an evacuation location estranged from the rotating hook 6 at the time of the rotation of the rotating hook 6, supplies electric power to the bobbin thread tension control unit 11 by contacting the external receiving circuit 33, and transmits a signal about the location of the case type actuator 13 to the control circuit 23 by contacting the external interface circuit 36.
