<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker which raises taste by eliminating a subject of boiling over and cooking by applying exact and very little pressure without lowering boiling heating power and does not produce dew condensation in surroundings by deciding a steam discharge direction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A steam tube 7 includes a steam tube case 8, a steam discharge pipe 9 which projects from the steam tube case 8, a steam valve 10 which wraps the steam discharge pipe 9 in a way able to open and shut, and an axis portion 11 prepared in the one side direction of the steam valve 10, wherein the steam valve 10 rotates centering around the axis portion 11, a shade part 12 is formed in the steam valve 10, and the end face of the shade part 12 is prepared in a location which is lower than the contact surface with the steam discharge pipe 9.
