<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide bearing forming a good fluid film by preventing the absorption of lubricating fluid on a bearing surface into the inside of a bearing, and capable of ensuring a promoting function of oil film formation which is possessed by the slide bearing of a porosity structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The slide bearing made from sintered metal, is composed of a large number of inner air holes 6, and a bearing body having a shaft hole in which a shaft can be inserted. A bearing surface 5 is provided on an inner periphery of the shaft hole, and a part of the inner air holes 6 open on the bearing surface 5 as surface opening holes 6a. The surface opening holes 6a and the inner air holes 6 communicating on a deep layer side thereof are sealed by a sealing material 9. Therefore, the bearing body is composed of a surface opening hole portion 7 having the surface opening holes 6a, and a sealing portion 8 having the inner air holes 6 sealed by the sealing material 9. By the surface opening holes 6a remaining without being sealed, a large number of recessed hollow portions 10 is opened and formed on the bearing surface 5.
