<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in a conventional image playback processing system, since continuity of image information is confirmed depending upon an imaging time, it can not be distinguished whether image information is made discontinuous by a transmission omission or the image information is transmitted but looks omitted because of a wrong imaging time applied. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to an image playback processing apparatus including: an imaging time abnormality detection unit which receives image information and an imaging time and outputs a detecting signal of discontinuous imaging times; a frequency processing unit which outputs a high frequency image through discrete wavelet transform that is performed based on a plurality of image information items corresponding to the imaging times, in which discontinuity is detected, and the preceding and following imaging times when the detecting signal is received; a threshold processing unit for determining edge information of an image from the high frequency image; and a determination processing unit for determining whether the image information is continued or omitted based on the edge information of the image.
