<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the effect of thermal deformation of a lens holder unit side during its processing, in a method of manufacturing a lens driving device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A nut holder (8) is formed as a member separate from a lens holder unit (10). After the lens holder unit is processed and fixed to a base (4), this lens holder unit and the nut holder are connected. This prevents thermal deformation of the lens holder unit during its processing from affecting the nut holder and a position detecting part (29) formed in the nut holder.
