摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for measuring a three dimensional geometry, capable of measurement by photographing a moving three-dimensional geometry to be measured from only a single direction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The three dimensional form measuring system includes: a video camera for photographing a moving image of a tire from an orthogonal cross direction U, that orthogonally crosses a rotational central axis C of the rotating tire; and a data processor that executes arithmetic computations by receiving photographic data from the video camera. The data processor determines the rotational radius for each of a plurality of portions on a tire surface, by analyzing a velocity of the moving image on the photographic screen, using angular velocity (Observe Velocity) observed around a main point M of the video camera lens and angular velocity (Rotate Velocity) about the rotational central axis C for the plurality of portions on the tire surface, and determines the three-dimensional coordinates for each of the plurality of portions by using the rotational radius.
