PURPOSE: A device and a method for offering membership service are provided to save cost for issuing another card by using a transportation card as a membership service card. CONSTITUTION: A device for offering membership service using transportation card comprises a transportation card(100), chain store membership service terminals(600), and membership servers(700). A chip for calculating the transportation fee is embedded on a transportation card and the serial number of the chip is recorded in the storage area of the chip. By the request for membership service, the membership information is read from the storage information in the transportation card.
