<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device downsizing a case, eventually an entire size by reducing a space between a sensor boss and a flange for a joint. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with: the case 51 receiving a soot filter 53 purifying exhaust gas and provided with a flange joint 7 at an end part; and a sensor boss 2 attached on an outer surface of the case 51 by welding. The sensor boss 2 is formed in a welding part having thinner thickness at the outermost circumference section of a head part 21 abutting on a case 51 outer surface, than that of a center section of the head part 21, and the head part 21 is formed in a truncated conical shape or a structure provided with a cylindrical body part and a flange part having larger outer diameter dimension and smaller thickness dimension than the body part.
