PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical thermal storage system can repeatedly and stably carry out thermal storage and radiation throughout a long time.

SOLUTION: The chemical thermal storage system 2 has a reactor 21 equipped with a chemical thermal storage material 11 of a hydration reaction system, an evaporator-condenser 22 evaporating or condensing water 12 for hydration/dehydration reaction of the chemical thermal storage material 11, and a connecting part 23 connecting the reactor 21 and the evaporator-condenser 22 and circulating the water 12 for hydration/dehydration reaction. The water 12 for hydration/dehydration reaction and a water soluble organic compound 13 having a polar functional group are held in the reactor 21 or the evaporator-condenser 22.
