摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly measure delay time of a transmission line of a redundant PON. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A checker 203 reads out time when a signal generator 202 generates a ranging signal Sr from a timer 201 and stores the read time. The ranging signal Sr is received by an ONU 120-1 via an optical splitter 130 and returned as it is. The optical splitter 130 transmits the ranging signal Sr to both of PON interfaces 111, 112. The PON interface 111 sends the ranging signal Sr received by a photoelectric converter 111b to the checker 203. The PON interface 112 sends the ranging signal Sr received by a photoelectric converter 112b to the checker 203. The checker 203 individually reads out the receiving time of the ranging signal from the timer 201.
