<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flowmeter and its joint member having a wide degree of freedom in setting of channel length, which enables enhancement in measurement accuracy by setting longer channel length, as well as miniaturization by setting shorter channel length. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The flowmeter includes a flowmeter body 5 comprising a channel 2 and a flow rate sensor 4 attached to a channel wall 3 of this channel 2, a commutator 10 for commutating velocity distribution of fluid flowing inside the channel 2 of this flowmeter body 5, and the joint member 20 which connects the flowmeter body 5 to piping for feeding the fluid to the flowmeter body 5.
