<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a portable information terminal apparatus equipped with a projector, made highly portable and achieving improvement of user-friendliness. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A mobile phone 100 includes the projector 107. The projector 107 includes: a light source part that emits light; a polarization converting element that polarizes and converts the light from the light source part and bends the light nearly at a right angle; a spatial modulation element that modulates the light from the polarization converting element in accordance with an image; and a projection lens that projects the light from the spatial modulation element.
