<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of implementing checking operation surely with simpler technique even at a part where dropping of water can not be visualized or at a part that is too narrow to insert fingertip. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The checking technique of water leakage at a connecting part between a water faucet 1 and a feed pipe 3 is as follows. (1) Water absorbing/oil absorbing paper as a test specimen 4 (commercial tempura papers and kitchen papers and the like) is prepared. (2) The test specimen 4 is folded one or more times to insert folded part to a gap between an external wall surface 2 and a flange 1c. (3) The test specimen 4 is demounted to check condition of the inserted part.
