<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting car stop enabling a lifting drive device to be easily maintained and inspected though the car stop does not have an intermediate cylindrical body between an outer cylindrical body and an inner cylindrical body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cover 3A of a covered inner cylindrical body 3 the outer peripheral surface of which is guided by a sliding support body 4 so attached as to abut on the upper part inner peripheral surface of the bottomed outer cylindrical body 2 includes a double-acting single rod cylinder 6 to which the upper end of a piston rod 7 is connected, a connection body 15 attached to the lower end of a cylinder tube 8, and two operating rods 17, 17 having an upper end operation part 18 which fixedly connects the connection body 15 to the bottom part 2A of the outer cylindrical body 2 by screw tightening and which are installed at a height position where the user can operate the rods from a ground surface GL side. Pipes 13, 14 for joining the double-acting single rod cylinder 6 to a fluid pressure output circuit are loosened so that the double-acting rod cylinder 6 can be pulled out to the ground surface GL side while the connection of the connection body 15 and the bottom part 2A of the outer cylindrical body 2 is released by operating operation parts 18, 18.
