PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Co-based alloy having high temperature strength, and also having excellent hot workability. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a Co-based alloy having a composition comprising, by mass, 0.1 to 20.0% Cr, 1.0 to 6.0% Al, 3.0 to 26.0% W and≤50.0% Ni, and the balance Co with inevitable impurities, and satisfying 5.0≤Cr+Al≤20.0 mass%, and in which the volume ratio of a second phase composed of aμphase expressed by A<SB>7</SB>B<SB>6</SB>and a Laves phase expressed by A<SB>2</SB>B is≤10%. The Co-based alloy is preferably obtained by performing homogenizing heat treatment at 1,000 to 1,250°C for≥10 hr after melting and casting. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
