<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular circumference monitoring device that provides a driver with an intuitive depth feel in a blind spot image. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vehicular circumference monitoring device that monitors a blind spot in an area stretching right and left in front of the driver, comprises: actual image taking means (2, 4, 6) disposed in front of the vehicle to take an actual blind spot image; a grid image generation means (34, 38) generating a virtual grid image to display a road depth feel in the blind spot image taken by the actual image taking means; a virtual grid image defining means (34, 38) defining the size, shape and orientation of the grid of the virtual grid image according to the actual blind spot image taken by the actual image taking means; and a display means (26, 14) displaying an image by superimposing the virtual grid image onto the actual image according to the size, shape and orientation defined by the grid image defining means.
