<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scalar robot in which the deterioration of cables and pipes is suppressed even when the quantity of the cables and pipes is large. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This scalar robot comprises a base 10, a first arm 20 and a second arm 30 rotatably attached to the base 10, harness 50 having one side disposed on the base 10 side and the other side disposed on the second arm 30 side and capable of storing a cable/pipe 51 formed of a cable and a pipe therein, and a tube unit 60 having one side disposed on the first arm 20 side and capable of storing a cable/pipe 64 formed of a cable and a pipe therein.
