<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a futon drying apparatus which can be used for both futon drying and clothes drying and by which even an aged, woman, or child can easily hang out a futon on it and take it in. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The futon drying apparatus 1 includes a pair of clothes drying platforms 2A and 2B, and a clothes drying pole 3 bridged over the pair of clothes drying platforms 2A and 2B. On one clothes drying platform 2A, an elevation mechanism is installed so that the clothes drying pole 3 is connected to the elevation mechanism to enable the clothes drying pole 3 to be moved up/down. On the other clothes drying platform 2B, a follower elevation mechanism to follow the movement of the clothes drying pole 3 by power from the clothes drying pole 3 is installed.
