<p>This invention relates to methods of diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of a neurological disorder. Specifically, the invention is directed to methods of diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of a neurological disorder based on measuring changes in the level of gelsolin in cerebrospinal fluid. The invention is also directed to a method for treating, inhibiting, or suppressing a bacterial lipoteichoic acid (LTA)-induced pathogenesis in a subject by contacting the subject with a therapeutically effective amount of gelsolin.</p> |
