Disclosed is a method for detecting aging or a disease associated with a vascular disorder such as age-related macular degeneration, which comprises measuring at least one member selected from a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence depicted in any one of SEQ ID NO:1 to SEQ ID NO:21 contained in a biological sample from a patient, a mutant of the polypeptide and a fragment of the polypeptide. Also disclosed is a composition or kit for diagnosing aging or a disease associated with a vascular disorder such as age-related macular degeneration.
