<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information storage system capable of easily canceling errors. <P>SOLUTION: The information storage system comprises an update history creation unit 140 for creating an update history in the event of an error by extracting the details of updates made within a certain retroactive period from an operating history of a client machine, a past database creation unit 150 for creating, using the update history, past information (past database) stored in a database at the time of retroaction, a re-updating unit 160 for executing an update of the details of updates recorded in the update history for the past database, and a determining unit 170 for determining whether or not the error has been reproduced as the result of the update executed. Until the error is reproduced, the determining unit 170 repeatedly executes a series of processes such as creation of the update history while extending the retroactive period.
