<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in calculation speed and calculation amount during calculating a displacement amount. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image processor for using a displacement amount between a plurality of images to position the plurality of images generates an image for positioning by reducing the plurality of images, sets a motion vector measurement area for measuring a motion vector in the image for positioning, uses the set motion vector measurement area to calculate a motion vector for pixel accuracy in the image for positioning and calculates a motion vector for sub pixel accuracy for the calculated motion vector for pixel accuracy. Then, a representative vector is obtained on the basis of the calculated motion vector for sub pixel accuracy, to calculate a displacement amount between the plurality of images by converting the calculated representative vector with a conversion rate used when converting a reduced pixel for positioning into a plurality of unreduced images.
