<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing unit capable of easily establishing remote access connection between equipment inside a LAN and that outside the LAN, and to provide an information reproducing unit, an information processing method, an information reproduction method, an information processing system and a program. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The information processing unit has: a location information transmission section for transmitting location information indicating the position of a device to be connected to which other connected information processing units should be connected to other connected information processing units; a location information determination section for referring to the location information before transmission to determine whether other information processing units and the device to be connected exist in the same LAN; and a location information conversion section for converting the location information to be transmitted to location information explicitly designating connection by remote access according to a result determined by the location information determination section.
