<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism enabling an image forming apparatus to process image data while an attribute of image data designated by a processing instruction has been changed even after issuance of the processing instruction of the image data to the image forming apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes a receiving section 3 for receiving a processing instruction which designates an attribute to be applied to printing or fax transmission/reception of image data, and an attribute changing section 4 for changing the attribute of the image data designated by the processing instruction received by the receiving section 3 according to an attribute changing request from a user before the end of the printing processing or fax transmission/reception of the image data.
