PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of a failure such as jamming by suppressing bills from being input into an apparatus with rubber bands or clips remaining for binding the bills, which is not removed by an inexperienced cashier. SOLUTION: The cash processing apparatus registers an ID of each manager who has authority to perform mechanical operations in the apparatus and information indicating whether the manager has a skill to recover from the failure or not in association with the information by manager, stores a manager registration table for registering information indicating the present manager in a storage part 7. When depositing cash carried by a cashier from the cash register, a main control part 8 determines whether the present manager is the main manager by referring to the manager registration table. When the present manager has no skill to recover from the failure, displays a warning screen showing a message so as not to input matters other than the cash into the apparatus on a display part 3.
