<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing colored polymerized toner which does not cause problems such as complicatedness on an operation and deterioration of production efficiency and can prevent the deposition of polymerization scale over a long term and can facilitate the removal of polymerization scale when manufacturing polymerized toner by polymerizing a monomer composition which includes monomer for forming toner particle and colorant according to suspension polymerization or the like by using hardly water-soluble inorganic colloid as dispersant. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing colored polymerized toner includes a process of polymerizing the monomer composition which includes at least polymerizable monomer and colorant by using hardly water-soluble inorganic colloid as dispersant, wherein a coated film of polymerization scale inhibitor which includes polyhydroxy compound having chromone skeleton is formed on at least a part with which the monomer composition is allowed to contact in the inner wall of a polymerization unit.
