PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid heating device capable of performing highly efficient heat transfer effectively using a space by making use of the characteristics of tubular flame. SOLUTION: The fluid heating device is provided with a tubular combustor 1 for injecting mixture of air and combustion gas or air and combustion gas individually toward a tangential direction of an inner face of a combustion space 2 formed to have a cylindrical shape and forming tubular flame to perform combustion; and with a heat-transfer pipe 5 for heating fluid penetrated through the combustion space 2 along the central axis of the combustion space 2 in the tubular combustor 1.
