A purification treatment method for obtaining an absolute alcohol from an aqueous fermented alcohol solution, characterized by controlling a moromi tower such that the alcohol concentration of a mixed vapor of alcohol and water distilled from the moromi tower is less than 50% by mass and also controlling the reflux amount of a condensed liquid to a distillation tower such that the alcohol concentration of a mixed vapor of alcohol and water distilled from the distillation tower is from 55 to 85% by mass. In the purification treatment method for obtaining an absolute alcohol from an aqueous fermented alcohol solution using a moromi tower, a pressure distillation tower, and a membrane separation device, the purification treatment can be performed more simply and extremely energy-efficiently in the entire process.
