<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress decrease in the quantity of electricity accumulated, in an accumulator, such as secondary battery, even when a vehicle is to travel in an area of low atmospheric pressure, including, highland. <P>SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle sets a correction coefficient α in a tendency to limit electricity that may be discharged from the battery, when the atmospheric pressure Pa is lower than a threshold Paref, as compared with the case where the atmospheric pressure Pa is not lower than a threshold Paref (S120, S220), sets an output limit Wout of the battery, by multiplying a basic output limit Woutb and the correction coefficient α (S140), and controls an engine and two motors so as to travel by required torque Tr* within the range of the set output limit Wout (S150 to S210).
