<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling an internal combustion engine, certainly avoiding occurrence of abnormal combustion. <P>SOLUTION: Valve closing timing IVC of an intake valve 21 is controlled to a delay side relative to timing with the amount of air inducted from an intake passage into a cylinder 11 maximized, controlled to be advanced as the target amount of air filled CE<SB>D</SB>as a target value of the amount of air induced into the cylinder 11 is increased under a condition in which the engine speed N<SB>ENG</SB>of the internal combustion engine 1 is the same, and controlled to be advanced as the rotational speed N<SB>ENG</SB>is increased under a condition in which the target amount of air filled C<SB>ED</SB>is maximized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
