<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary artificial heart pump drive unit having high availability without duplexing a pump device even when a serious fault occurs, and to provide an auxiliary artificial heart system. <P>SOLUTION: The auxiliary artificial heart pump drive unit for driving an auxiliary artificial heart pump includes first and second pump control part having the duplexed configuration of respective control parts for output the driving signal of the auxiliary artificial heart pump and controlling the auxiliary artificial heart pump.
