PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of bonding a surface material to an air-permeable substrate of a decorative panel by which the surface material is bonded firmly to the air-permeable substrate while a high permeability of air and moisture between the surface material and the air-permeable substrate are maintained.

SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method of bonding S a surface material 3 to an air-permeable substrate 2 of a panel 1 comprising a coating step S1 in which a volatile adhesive 4 and a low volatile adhesive 5 compatible with and less volatile than the volatile adhesive 4 are uniformly mixed and coated on the surface of the air-permeable substrate 2, a bonding step S2 in which the surface material 3 is placed on the mixture of the volatile adhesive 4 and the low volatile adhesive 5 and a volatilization step S3 in which the volatile adhesive 4 existing between the surface material 3 and the air-permeable substrate 2 is volatilized.
