<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fixing strength in an iron golf club head fixed with a ring-shaped member to the back face of a head body by welding. <P>SOLUTION: The iron golf club head 1 includes the head body 1A having a face plate part 8 whose front face forms a face 2, and the ring-shaped member 1B fixed to the back face 8b of the face plate part 8 by welding and having a circumferential face 10 that forms respective back face-side parts of a top face, a toe face, a sole face and a heel part. The ring-shaped member 1B consists of two or more segments 12 divided at a partition face 11 that extends in a direction crossing a ring extension direction C. The segment 12 consists of: a main segment 12a welded with at least part of a first joining edge j1, or a connection part between the circumferential edge face 10 and the outer circumferential face 8P of the face plate part 8, and a second joining edge j2, or a connection part between the partition face 11 and the back face 8b of the face plate part 8; and an auxiliary segment 12b welded with at least the first joining edge j1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
