<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the high efficiency of an electric air blower while securing tightness between an impeller suction port and a tight cap fixed to the center of casings, in the electric air blower. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The assembling method of the electric air blower is configured in such a manner that: the casings are constituted of two components; the external casing A12a is press-inserted from the upper part of an air guide 10; after that, the internal casing B12b is press-inserted from the upper part of the casing A12a; the press insertion of the casing A12a and the press insertion of the casing B12b are stopped immediately after the contact of the top face of the rotating impeller 11 and the bottom face of the internal peripheral rib of the tight cap 16; and the casing A12a and the casing B12b are joined to each other. By this, a cutting engagement margin in the thrust direction between the top-face internal periphery of the impeller 11 and the external periphery of the internal peripheral rib of the tight cap 16 can be formed to be 1 mm or smaller, and the generation of amount of cutting chips of the tight cap 16 can be reduced while securing the tightness at the suction port, thus achieving the high efficiency of the electric air blower.
