<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the frequency with which writes are made to the same area of a storage device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A storage system 1 includes a storage device 10 for storing electronic information, and a control device 20 which, when receiving a request to delete the electronic information stored in the storage device 10 and if predetermined requirements are met after the acceptance of the deletion request, performs control for releasing, as a writable area, the part of the storage area of the storage device 10 where the electronic information requested to be deleted by the deletion request is stored.
