<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-beam printing device configured to be used in common in accordance with resolution. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The multi-beam printing device includes: a plurality of light beam emitting parts prepared for printing, arrayed in a sub scanning direction; an image processing part for performing image processing with reference to a plurality of channels so as to supply image signals to the plurality of light beam emitting parts; a switching part for switching the distribution of image signals from the image processing part to the plurality of light beam emitting parts; and a second switching part for switching the distribution of the received image signals to the image processing part. When the resolution of an image to be printed is changed, the method of distributing the image signal to the plurality of light beam emitting parts is changed by the switching part, and also, the distribution of the received image signals is switched by the second switching part.
