PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel and a manufacturing method of the display panel capable of effectively assembling the display panel while preventing intrusion of moisture into a display component made of electronic paper. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the display panel 1 uses a substrate 10 having a plurality of positioning holes 12, 13, 14 and holding the display component 20 made of electronic paper. It is characterized by that: the substrate has at least one positioning hole and has a protruding part 11 having a width shorter than a width of the display component; the substrate is fixed by using the plurality of positioning holes; a front barrier sheet 30 is arranged on one face of the substrate so as to cover the display component and a rear barrier sheet 31 arranged on another face of the substrate are pasted together such that the protruding part protrudes from the front barrier sheet and the rear barrier sheet; and it has a step of cutting off the protruding part after pasting of the front barrier sheet and the rear barrier sheet.
