<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately inspect the three-dimensional shape accuracy of an object to be inspected obtained by cutting an aluminum extrusion material perpendicularly to the extrusion direction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The object 4 to be inspected is positioned between four sets of laser displacement gauges A1-D1 and A2-D2 arranged facedly at predetermined intervals so that the extrusion direction points in parallel with the radiated light axis of a laser beam of the laser displacement gauge, the laser beam is radiated from each laser displacement gauge to each corner of both cutting end surfaces 4a and 4b of the object to be inspected, the displacement of the object to be inspected from the reference position preset to a standard sample is determined for each of measuring points a1, a2, b1, b2, c1, c2, d1 and d2 based on a detected signal of each laser displacement gauge, and the shape accuracy of the object to be inspected is inspected based on this displacement. As the three-dimensional shape accuracy, the cutting length, the parallelism of both cutting end surfaces, and squareness (Y-directional squareness and Z-directional squareness) to the extrusion direction of each cutting end surface are inspected.
