<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall-prevention device and fittings capable of improving usability and design. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A guide groove 2D for guiding a slider 41 of the fall-prevention device 40 is provided on an outdoor-side of a width face 2B of an upper frame 2 while a bracket 43 for supporting an other end of a connecting arm 42 is fixed on a depth face 13D of a vertical stile 13 at a hanging base side of a sliding door 10, so that the guide groove 2D and the fall-prevention device 40 do not project into the indoor side. Also, when the sliding door 10 is opened, the connecting arm 42 or the like is not exposed largely in the opening part, and accordingly the fall-prevention device 40 does not stand out for improving the design of the window. Furthermore, the fall-prevention device 40, not being projected into the indoor side, does not bother an interior material such as a blind, curtain or the like provided inside of the window, which eliminates restrictions on its installation, and thus usability can be improved.
