<p>The device (10) has a short circuit current interruption device (11) and another short circuit current interruption device (12) interconnected in a parallel circuit. The interruption device (12) is designed such that the device (12) interrupts increase of a short circuit current before reaching of a maximum short circuit current. A control device (13) controls the interruption device (11) and/or the interruption device (12) such that the interruption device (11) or the interruption device (12) forms a neutral point of an electrical equipment (20) e.g. power transformer. An independent claim is also included for a method for limiting a short circuit current in a three-phase system.</p>
