The face has a bumper skin (3) with a thin plastic layer and an edge (25) laterally turned towards exterior of a vehicle, and an ornamental accessory connected to the skin. The accessory has a transversal strip (29) with transversal portions (53, 55) that are transversally located below and beyond the edge, respectively. The strip has a chromium layer, and a connection portion (57) provided between the portions (53, 55) and housed in a recess (59) of the edge.
