The method involves positioning and fixing a ceramic piece (20) on a support, and placing a elongated shaped deburring tool (30) with a side parallel to a portion of a surface (21S) that defines edges of a through opening (21) between two surfaces of the piece. The tool is rotationally driven around its axis to allow the side of the tool to contact the portion of surface, while exerting a determined pressure on the portion of the surface. Distance (e) of the rotation axis of the tool from the portion of the surface is determined based on the pressure exerted on the portion of the surface.
