The cover (1) has a roller drape (2) including a material layer that is reinforced by a reinforcement sheet, where the material layer is made of plastic material or needled fibrous material. A stiffening unit (10) i.e. spring-roller, stiffens an end edge (5) of the drape. Another stiffening unit (4) i.e. rigid flap, stiffens an end edge (6) of the drape, where the edge (6) is opposite to the edge (5). The reinforcement sheet is formed by netting of rectilinear longitudinal threads. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a drape of a luggage cover.
