Preparation of catalyst precursors (I) comprises preparing a colloidal solution (A), having oxide/hydroxide particles of a cation (D), by dissolving precursor salts of the cation at 5-100[deg] C, where the concentration of (D) is 0.01-1 mol/l in a volume of sodium hydroxide solution (X) or in a volume of water or in a volume of water added with (X); or using a commercial solution of the aqueous colloidal solution (A) and pouring an aqueous solution (B1) containing a group VIII metal precursor salt (Z) i.e. soluble under the used pH conditions, having a concentration of 0.001-1 mol/l. Preparation of catalyst precursors (I) comprises preparing a colloidal solution (A), of defined pH, having oxide/hydroxide particles of a cation M(z+) (D) including the cations of columns IIA, IIIA, IIIB, IVB or IVA of the periodic table, by dissolving precursor salts of the cation i.e. soluble in aqueous solution, at 5-100[deg] C, where the concentration of (D) is 0.01-1 mol/l in a volume of sodium hydroxide solution (X) having a concentration of 0.01-1 mol/l or in a volume of water or in a volume of water added with (X), or using a commercial solution of the aqueous colloidal solution (A) and pouring an aqueous solution (B1) containing a precursor salt (Z) of a metal of having a concentration of 0.001-1 mol/l, where (Z) is soluble under the used pH conditions. Independent claims are included for: (1) the catalyst precursor obtained by the process; (2) preparation of a catalyst from (I) comprising impregnation of the solution obtained at the end of pouring (B1) on a support having a BET (Brunauer, Emmett and Teller) surface of 300 m 2>/g and drying at = 120[deg] C then calcining at 100-600[deg] C; (3) the catalyst obtained by the process; and (4) selective hydrogenation of an olefin cut comprising the implementation of the obtained catalyst. |
