<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system which achieves high-speed data processing, when data is transferred to an image forming apparatus such as a printer for image formation. <P>SOLUTION: The printing system includes an image processing apparatus and an image forming apparatus. The image processing apparatus includes: an editing section for editing document data into description language data that a terminal device can interpret; an extraction section for extracting part of the description language data as extraction data on the basis of a conversion table for converting a preset command; a conversion section for converting the extraction data into conversion data on the basis of the conversion table; and a generation section for generating transmission data by adding the conversion data, in a comment form, to the original description language data. The image forming apparatus removes the comment form on the basis of the converted transmission data and then performs printing.
