<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which can improve resolution while reducing the cost of an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: N-bit gradation data for performing a gradation expression per pixel is input in an input section, and the bid-data, which is generated in accordance with the n-bit gradation data input into the input section and expresses an anergy level, is corrected to form dots on the lines expressing a plurality of exposed positions based on the corrected bid data. One line of a plurality of lines is exposed at a critical energy level expressed in the energy of location where print concentration starts from 0, and the other line of the plurality of lines is exposed with energy different in each line unit to form dots.
