<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device which has excellent contrast characteristics by preventing a display defect such as disclination, and is reduced in cost, and to provide an electronic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device includes a circuit board, an opposite substrate disposed opposite the circuit board, a liquid crystal layer 58 sandwiched in between the circuit board and opposite substrate and initially aligned in a vertical direction, a first alignment film 22 formed on the opposite substrate on the side of the liquid crystal layer 58 through a coating process and having alkyl chains, and a second alignment film 11 formed on the circuit board on the side of the liquid crystal layer 58 through a vacuum process, the alkyl chains being bonded to a surface of the second alignment film 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
